Yergi Plimkin is a boy whose family couldn't afford to buy any books. A newspaper wrote a story all about him and the fact that he had no books, and created an ad asking if anyone could help. Toody Tululu saw this ad, and created an organization named YIP YAP.

• Yergi is supposedly Russian, judging by his vaguely Russian-sounding name.
• When Yergi recieved the books, they weren't his language. So he used them to merely mount his llama
